In 2016, I won a trip to Silicon Valley for my performance in the Quickfire Challenge at Enterprise in Action. Alongside 5 other Young Enterprise students, I had the privilege of spending a week visiting hugely successful and innovative companies such as Facebook, Instagram, Xero, Uber, Apple and IDEO. Along the way, we met with accomplished New Zealanders like Ben Anderson of Renaissance Leadership, and the teams at Kiwi Landing Pad & NZTE. Key takeaways from this trip included the value of company culture, exponential technologies, the role of ambition and the potential for Kiwi success internationally.
